About Risk
The increasing emphasis on risk-based decision making and the increasingly global nature of the food supply have resulted in the use of risk analysis to systematically address food safety issues worldwide. This has created a need to educate food safety and other public health professionals about the principles of food safety risk analysis and the tools and techniques required to apply this approach.
JIFSAN offers online courses to meet your professional needs in learning how to do risk analysis.

- Course Tuition Fellowship
- Summer Extended Fellowship (currently only offered if individual has funding)
- This Fellowship is offered through JIFSAN in partnership with several other organizations. Funding for this opportunity can be obtained in advance or through assistance from JIFSAN.
- Special Topics in Food Safety and Risk Analysis
- Additional course topics and regulatory trainings can be scheduled such as: Advanced Risk Communication, Regulatory Impact Analysis, and Advanced Quantitative Risk Assessment.
