#WorldFoodSafetyDay! JIFSAN Recognizes Global Food Safety with International Training Programs
June 2023
One of the many ways that UMD-JIFSAN recognizes global food safety is with our international training programs! Currently, UMD-JIFSAN is in partnership with U.S. FDA, Spices Board India, and Assam Agricultural University, conducting food safety trainings that focus on spices. The first week of this collaboration will be held in Guwahati, India June 6-9, 2023. The second week will be held in Thodupuzha, India June 12-15, 2023. These trainings will prepare in-country trainers to educate workers about the key practices related to preventing foodborne disease throughout farm production as well as educate processors on eliminating food contamination.
