“Global Risks @ the Tipping Point: Risk Analysis & Policy Driving Systemic Change” was the 2022 theme at the SRA Annual Meeting held in Tampa, FL. Dr. Clare Narrod moderated the symposium “Food Safety Risk Communication - Introducing the APEC Food Safety Risk Communication Framework and Associated Guidelines” Chaired by Dr. William Hallman, Rutgers University.
As part of a panel presentation, Dr. Narrod presented “Introducing the APEC Food Safety Risk Communication Framework and Associated Guidelines.” Dr. Hallman presented “Reaching Vulnerable Populations and Getting Them to Take Action.” The third segment, “Using Social Media Engagement for Food Safety Risk Communication,” was delivered by Amy Philpott, Vice President, Watson Green, LLC.
Narrod, Hallman and Philpott were members of the committee on this subject which was made up of over 100 participants from 18 APEC economies.
