After presenting the JIFSAN Summer Integrated Program (SIP) virtually since 2020, JIFSAN was pleased to host its summer risk analysis program in-person this year!! Participants enjoyed smaller classes than in-person courses prior to COVID, and enthusiastically engaged in rich conversations, shared varied work experiences, and collaborated on assigned group projects.
Attendees from the U.S. as well as Ghana, Suriname, and Korea represented academia, government and the private sector with careers ranging from administration to research, toxicology, and medicine. While many participants joined us for one to three courses, our Fellowship recipient from Ghana and two participants from Suriname were able to join us for the entire five course program. We enjoyed having everyone and always look forward to hearing how the training enhanced their daily work.
The program took place from July 31st through August 16th with the four CORE courses being held the first week and half:
Introduction to Risk Analysis in the Regulatory Process
Risk Management
Qualitative Risk Assessment
Food Safety Risk Communication
The intermediate course, Introduction to FDA i-Risk® and Quantitative Risk Assessment, took place the last full week of the program.
If you are interested in JIFSAN’s courses, please visit this information page on our website. Dates for 2025 have not yet been set; however, it is never too early to complete the Course Fee Fellowship application found here.
